“Having been a guest at Professor Leaf’s “Reel Beatles” class at UCLA,  I can attest to how fascinating it is to watch David and his audience of rapt students.”

David Leaf knows how to engage an audience.

Leaf speaks with authority and his unique “take” captures audiences on an expansive variety of topics. 20th Century Music. Media. Politics. The Rock Era. Frank Sinatra. Sports. Television. Baby Boomers. The Draft & the Anti-Vietnam war movement. “The Killer Bs”: The Beatles, The Beach Boys and The Bee Gees.

He has fascinating stories about working with your heroes…even your famous enemies. Terrific “takes” on The American Experiment.  Integration. The California Dream.

He’s hosted special events, charity functions and other gatherings for over a dozen years.

Leaf’s students at UCLA have consistently rated him as one of the best professors on campus. In his popular classes, he interviews Hall of Fame masters of songwriting, Academy Award winning filmmakers, Grammy Award winning record artists, and top executives in every aspect of the music world: music publishing, musicians, managers and marketing.

Each of his courses are unique. Like a television show, Leaf begins with an entertaining “monologue” followed by the introduction of that day’s featured guest. Just as he does in his films, Leaf knows how to reveal the revelations that keep the students coming back for more.
